paint color number and where to buy paint

I did a fair amount of touch up to multiple colors on my 99 Marquis. My factory paint codes were on the inside of the above kitchen sink. When to the automotive paint store, they told me to do a color match as opposed to factory codes as, over time, exterior paint fades and if I went to the original paint code or brand there would be a color difference. They were right. I went with a small sample of the factory color on one color to find out and clearly there was a difference. Went back with the coach and they did whatever they do and matched the color on the coach and I got a perfect match in each of the four colors.

I brought the color chart the the paint store and he asked me if the chart was for a gallon or 55 gallons the chart doesn't specify the volume of the paint? Does anyone know?
