Dry Ice Blasting Palm Springs New Years 2024
« on: November 09, 2024, 04:28:59 PM »
Hi Everyone,

I am considering renting a dry ice blast machine to clean my engine and remove rust on a few parts, but it doesn't make sense for the cost and trouble for the few spots I have to clean and remove rust. I recently spent a lot of time and effort removing rust on one of the coolant tubes to repaint. I still need to do the same to the longer lower coolant tube and the tank portion of the radiator has rust I'd like to remove.

Here is what I'm proposing. Are there multiple people (enough) who have items they want cleaned or rust removed from their coach and everyone can synch up and schedule tightly, so then I will be willing to rent the machine and equipment and clean the areas while we are in palm springs. I'm more than happy to do the work but it will cost a decent amount to rent the machine and the air compressor. At a minimum I can rent for a long weekend, which puts the schedule very tight depending how many people want this done.

There are plenty of videos online but here is one to get an idea of the results. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHy_JpRI4lw
A full engine clean would likely take 5-6 hours my guess. www.BZCLEANUSA.com has engine bays starting at $395 and my hope is our cost would be a bit cheaper taking into consideration our engine bays are much different.

I also suspect this would be a very effective way at cleaning coolant fins.

There are several items to sort out but I wanted to gauge interest.

Is anyone interested?
