Bill,
You are kind of "in the sticks" so not much close by that I could locate. You may want to call Henderson's Lineup in Grants Pass, OR. If they can't come down to your location they may be able to recommend someone in you area.

Well crap!  We broke down 10 miles West of Jordan Valley, OR, last week also with a leaking hydraulic line.  I noticed the problem when both the engine (C-12) and transmission started overheating.  The engine temp got up to the 220s and the transmission up to the 210s.  We unhooked the toad and limped into Jordan Valley.  The problem in Jordan Valley is that there's no phone service other than T-Mobile (we have Verizon), therefore no internet service.  Fortunately, Skinner's Coffeeshop had free wifi that enabled me to make wifi phone calls.  After several calls, I found a firm in Payette, ID, that sent a tech the following day to make repairs.  The total cost was nearly $3,000 - almost $700 mileage for Payette to Jordan Valley, Jordan Valley to Marsing, ID for a $280 hydraulic hose made by NAPA, Marsing to Homedale, ID for an air line boot, back to Jordan Valley (and the tech's return to Payette), and $204 for six gallons of Dexron III ATF.  The good part was that we were back on the road in 24 hours.

The Marquis has been out to Freightliner Northwest in Hermiston, OR, today to have all the hoses checked and replaced, if necessary... another $1,000.  Get out your credit card!

I have to agree with Steve… Henderson’s are about as good as there is when it comes to our coaches’ chassis.  They’re about 75 miles from you.  Tell them you’re with BAC.  They are a club sponsor and may be more inclined to send a tech, and apply an advantage to any bill you incur.

I agree with the above the people at Hendersons are there for you
Failing that any good hydraulic shop should be able to make / replace a hose for you they usually have mobile techs to repair heavy equipment on site.

Look around for a local excavation company and ask them if they can give you the name of someone locally that can help.

Hope this helps

Try Peterson cat in Redding CA or Medford ore they fixed our blown hose 2 yrs ago. They also added two chafed guards to protect the hose.

Looks like all posters had rigs made post 2002. Does line failure happen on pre 2002 also.

As far as I know, all the hoses on our coach were original to its manufacture date - 2003.  A few years back, we had a coolant hose with a small leak.  It was replaced in Las Vegas.  I had planned to get all the hoses (oil, coolant, air boots, etc.) inspected then, but forgot to schedule it.  My guess is that exposed hoses should be inspected every five years or so, and replaced at 15 years just because they're old.

In my prior message on this thread, the tech's total mileage was 282; Payette is about 86 miles from Jordan Valley.  At $2.50 per mile; that's nearly $700 for all the miles.  The labor charge was $175 per hour for 7.5 hours... 5 of those 7.5 hours were travel time!

As I said, get out the credit card!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Post my post, I determined that it was a coolant line, even though it appeared to be coming from a hydraulic line. We networked around in the area and got PJ from PJ Family Truck Repair to come out. He was awesome, and got us back up and running in about 4 hours. As has been mentioned by others, he recommended having all our hoses replaced given the age of the coach. I'll need to explore having that done when we get back home.
