Magnadyne door lock
« on: March 15, 2010, 11:24:36 PM »
I knew this was going to happen, so does anyone know where the Magnadyne electronic keyless entry control box is located?  I had to change the battery in my key fob and now I can't open or lock the coach using the fob and need to reprogram the system.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I have the same year Monterey.  Remove the panel on top of the dash in front on the steering wheel.  The black box next to the engine and transmisson plug is what you are looking for.  You will see an antenna wire coming from it.  I had to unplug it several times to reset it.

THANK YOU DENNIS!!!
It was there where you said I would find it.  I had to unscrew it from the front wall of the MH to get to the reset button
and to observe the LED.

I also had to program one FOB and then turn the key off, then back on to program the second FOB.  The instructions
said to just do the second FOB, but that didn't appear to work.

We're back in business with new batteries in the key FOB's and the codes reprogrammed into the controller.

Thanks again for your help!

Minor-

Where did you find the instructions you mention;  my '06 Monterey manual only talks about reprogramming the keyless entry pad.  Nothing about fob battery change.

Just wanting to be prepared for the inevitable, since our fobs' original batteries are going on 4 years now.

Thanks,
Joel
