Bose Invisable Amp Needed

(1/4) > >>

Steve Huber:
Since I've got the passenger side of my dash completely torn apart fighting a fan speed / air flow problem (got it figured out thanks to Gerald's advice!) I have complete access to my Bose amp, which has been giving me problems since I've had the coach. The Center channel drops out after it heats up. Checked with Bose and they no longer repair them. So, does anyone have a working unit that they pulled out during an upgrade they would be willing to part with?
I know I can upgrade but the convenience of the Lifestyle unit is nice and the wiring and speaker replacement would be a pain I'd like to avoid if possible.
Thx, Steve

Dick Simonis:
Steve, there is a dept of Bose that reconditioned my amp and Lifestyle head.  In fact they help Beaver design the system for the 2000 era coaches.  The problem was they were hard to locate in the corporate structure and I was told initially they would not repair the units until I found this department.

I'll dig back through my correspondence and see if I find the info.

Dick Simonis:
Found it.

"Hi Mr. Simonis,

Per our conversation, we can repair your Bose Built-Invisible Home Theater amp for a flat rate of $250 plus tax. If you decide you want to send your LifeStyle music center in at the same time, the flat rate is $259 (for both units).

The best number for Bose Built-Invisible support is 877-633-4405. We hope to hear from you soon.

Take care,

Steve Huber:
Dick,
That is the # I called. Got it from a previous post on the forum. Was told no joy on repairing my amp.
Hmmm,  Steve

JimNCheryl Domenoe:
I just had mine removed to have a new system installed. Seemed to work fine. Let me know if you want it.  I don't think they tossed it yet.  I'll know for sure in the morning.
