Insurance Enigma

I just got my insurance renewal from RV America Ins. for next year, 74 percent increase!  My premiums were the same for the last two years and I've had no accidents, claims, etc. since I've owned the coach.  Asked my agent what was going on and she said RV America has increased their rates in some states.  She is an independent agent so she shopped around for something comparable to what I was paying before and found Allied could give me the same coverage for only $16 more than I was paying RV America previously.  I guess Allied hasn't gotten around to jacking up the rates in Texas yet.  I remember some recent discussion about Allied doing the same thing to some other folks on this forum.  RV America is definitely losing a customer, Allied may be gaining a new customer (at least for the short term) but I'm still shopping around.

Jerald,
Check with Ron Jarvie at Overland ins. He's one of the BAC Sponsors and his info is on the BAC home page. I've been with Allied for number of years and have been happy with their coverage. Rates have been stable. Another plus is that Overland will include a significant discount for Coach Connect Roadside coverage (also covers your autos).

I ditto Steve's comments.  Overland saved us dollars and gave better coverage.  I have not heard any negatives

Thanks Steve and Mike, I'll check with Overland and see if they can get me a better deal.

I just changed my insurance to Overland. They saved me close to $300, and got better coverage.  Ron was easy to work with.

I'm with Allied/Nationwide via Overland also.  I'm pretty sure you'd be hard-pressed to do better.
