What is this?
« on: September 18, 2015, 04:21:29 AM »
Keith here, I asked Carol to start this thread for me because I cant post a photo.
We are looking for a control panel for the Aqua Hot.  This is all I can find.
Does anyone know what this (Wabco) box is?  I found it in the electrical bay.

Also,  does the Aqua Hot (AHE 920-431) even have a control panel? Best I can tell It is not inside the coach, nor in the electrical bay, nor is it on the wall in the bay next to the AH.
Thanks
Keith

Keith,

That little item is your ABS (Antilock Braking System) control (brain). Wabco stands for Westinghouse Air Brake Co. or used to back in the day.
My Aqua Hot panel is mounted on the cover for the bay where the A H is located all it is is one control board with all the wiring and connections plugged into it.

Good to know this for sure, thanks Lee!
I have been everywhere I can think of to find that control panel.  No luck.  Since I am having some serious AH problems right now it would be nice to see if there were some indication on a control board.

Keith the panel in the 06 PT is on the bay door if you have a fault you should see a light that will help trouble shoot. I some times find it neccesary to remove the panel to see the lights. I have had a bad float and used a paper clip as a jumper to by pass the lack of the operational float.

Our AquaHot is the model AHE-100-02S and has no control panel.  All we have is a green lighted switch in the living room to turn it on and off.

I looked through your model's installation manual and see no reference to a control panel.            http://aquahot.com/Library.aspx

Keith,

If there is a black terminal block inside your Aquahot with wires and a few relays held in place with clips then this version Aquahot did things old school without an external board. Mine is the 100-02S like David's with relays. The circuitry board in the newer version takes the place of all the relays and adds some diagnostic lights. If you download the service manual for your model it will tell you if you have a circuit board or relays.

Keith,
Your model # does not have an external panel. See http://www.aquahot.com/Library.aspx  for Aqua Hot and Hydro Hot manuals.
