Blocking slides

Getting ready for travel to Balloon Festival In our 2005 Bayview 4 .  Repair shop screw up left us with slides that cannot be extended  without manually retracting them  a pain.  Is there a way to block Slide outs with 2X4 or? Afraid they might creep out.  which would creep us out.  SOOOOO Any suggestions... I have re tightened hydraulic solenoids after manually  retraction.  But one slide creeped out during trip home form Bogus repair shop. 
We are going to proceed on our trip just wondering if any precautions or helpful hints experiences  Thanks in advance for any help

You can use a 2x2, 2x4 or wooden closet rod. Key is to wedge it between slide side and the fixed wall on the inside of the coach. Goal is to prevent movement due to vibration while traveling. Consider putting foam rubber on ends to prevent scuffing damage to walls and side of slide. I would put them on both sides of slide where possible.

I am not sure about your slide mechanism but on mine (02 Thunder), I am able to use a 2in. ratchet strap wrapped around the slide mechanism to hold it in. I carry two of them with me all the time.

I would stop by a home supply somewhere and pick up several 2X2's of the lengths needed to lay on the floor and as Steve suggests.  If you don't have a saw, many home centers will cut the pieces to length for you.  Carry them in a bay or closet even after the shop in Acacia (or wherever) finally resolves your problem;  if solenoids ever act up allowing extension on the road again, you'll have them handy.  Been there, done that.  Or you might place them prior to each travel, as a routine precaution.
