Really discouraging - the story continues
William Jordan:
A few months ago BCS in bend opened my battery door ( other repairs ) and the hinge broke and getting the door off caused more damage to the door . They were able to rebuild the door and it works fine . They would be a choice if you can get to them
One thing to know though is they charged me over 1 grand ( yes you heard that right) about 1100.00 if I remember , but I try to forget about these things! Btw this just to repair the hinge and inner panel no paint as the outside skin was fine
Good luck!

Bill,
One grand for a hinge and panel repair??? BCS is good at what they do but that is a bit much, was the hinge gold? Most if not all shops charge by the hour (shop rate) which covers the tech and most supplies but not parts. Just wondering here? We used to charge $125 per but only charged for actual time.

I still work for money- I would pay the grand for the fix, but it would take two grand in fuel to ride out there and return.
Anybody got any expierence with these folk?

They are three hours up the road... Much closer.
I can install the door, I can paint the door, I just need the door or my old one fixed....
This pool is getting deeper...

Hinge, can door 4ft @ 58 a foot 232.00
Tape 35.00
On looking at receipt
They did repaint part of the door 4 techs a total of 13 hours labor which they reduced 20% after I cried on the counter...:: total ...1259.13
The hinge broke in their shop and in getting it off it took several techs and they bent it up some doing it
I know how I feel .. They fixed it .. The door and hinge very well ( still scratches on the coach above the hinge but.) ..
I'll leave the rest up to your own opinion it's fixed and I've moved on
Lee Welbanks:
Just wonder how much fat is in that bill if they took off 20% just like that.
