Serpintine Belt Replacement
« on: January 18, 2011, 11:59:33 PM »
I have a 2003 Monterey with the Cummins 350 and rear radiator. I need to change the serpintine belt. I am trying to figure out if I should try to do it from underneath the coach or would it be better to pull the floor in the bedroom closet for better access. Has anyone performed this on there coach?

Jim, you might consider removing the charge air cooler as it is pretty easy and really opens up the area you need access to. I don't believe the floor panel removal will help as it is located over the rear of the engine. I have had the charge air cooler out several times and find it gets easier each time. I check my belt each time and with 80,000 miles I don't have any cracks on the belt so will continue using it. Have a great day.
