Leaving water pump on while on shore water

Would anyone see an issue with leaving the water pump on for a pressure boost when the shore water is connected and on? It sure helps with pressure!

We always run our pump and draw water from our freseh tank. Use the shore water to fill the tank, then turn off. Leaving both on when youre not in the coach is inviting a messy leak.

We always leave either the water pump on or shore water on, or both on, so that our automatic ice maker will keep its bucket full.

We fill our tank with our well water for use of drinking and ice maker. The taste is so much better and it is pure. Shut off the pump and use shore water for showers and washer. We are usually out one or two weeks at a time so we rarely run out of well water.

If outside water pressure is low and your pump delivers a higher pressure which is what I think you are getting at. You may risk pushing your water into the connected city water. If there is a backflow preventer at the hookup you may come back to a 100 gallon puddle on the ground! In my opinion either use just city water or fill your tank and run the pump off it with the city water off. The coach pump is not set up as a booster pump.

do you have a pressure gage? 55-65 lbs and your good, thi slow flow could be caused by lime build up if pressure is good  you may need to trouble shoot.
