Can someone tell me what these are called, please?
« on: November 09, 2019, 06:23:23 PM »
I'm searching the internet for what I am calling dual wire blade connectors as shown in the picture. The big box stores don't have them, and neither does Ace or True Value. I guess I can find them at an electrical supply house like Steiner or Springfield Electric, but I'd like to know what they are called. All I get on the internet when I put in dual wire spade connector, are ones that are single wire and have a horseshoe shape.

I had to ruin one of the yellow ones in order to get the wire out so I could read what was stamped on it. As it turned out, whoever wired it, stripped the end of the wire to install it in connector, and only a partial number is left.

Any help would be appreciated.

Stan,
You can purchase a kit or packages of individual spade lugs and connectors at any auto parts store. After crimping, pull on the wires to be sure they are tightly crimped. (The Kit will include the crimping tool).

Stan, you need a yellow female disconnect as it is the correct size (12w-10AWG) to handle 2 standard wires.  https://www.homedepot.com/p/Gardner-Bender-12-10-AWG-0-25-in-Tab-Female-Fully-Insulated-Disconnect-Yellow-10-Pack-15-155F/205846616?MERCH=REC-_-Pip_Alternatives_Non_HDhome-_-307397178-_-205846616-_-N

High quality versions can be seen at Newark, my specialties electronics go-to:  https://www.newark.com/w/c/connectors/crimp-terminals-solder-terminals-splices/quick-disconnect-crimp-terminals?wire-size-awg-min=12awg&st=Female%20disconnect
Exactly which one is up to you to compare the original with.  Hope this is at least somewhat of what you are asking for.
