2008 Beaver Patriot Thunder Light bars and step light
« on: May 05, 2020, 12:03:25 AM »
I have a 2008 Beaver Patriot thunder Concord IV.   The light bar grab handle outside and the porch light plus the step lights and the short tube light grab handle above the step lights have all stop working.  The 24” light bar on the right as you exit works hmmm. I have looked high and low for a blown fuse and could not find one. I think it could be a ground problem but I couldn’t find the ground.  I removed the switch panel to see if I could figure out the problem but no luck, All the wires disappear behind the front arm rest. Idea were the fuse is? Idea were the ground is? The wiring diagram (attached)

Kevin,
From the symptoms you supplied check the wire nut connection inside the armrest box. (see bottom center of dwg). 12v is getting to the one grab handle but not the rest. Consider replacing it with a WAGO connector. https://www.amazon.com/WAGO-222-413-LEVER-NUTS-Conductor-Connectors/dp/B000JJPA66/ref=sr_1_13?crid=1G2499UJ1823K&dchild=1&keywords=wago+lever+nuts&qid=1588634412&sprefix=Wago%2Caps%2C250&sr=8-13

I don't think it is a bad ground as since the step lights use a slightly different ground path than the grab handles. If the 5A fuse was bad none would light.
