Title: Chassis Batteries
Post by: Jerry Pattison on June 20, 2021, 08:17:37 PM
Hi, all!  Looking for help determining what chassis battery group I should have in my 1998 Marquis with Magnum chassis and C-12 engine.  Cannot find the answer in the documents here in the forum or downloaded docs.  I am concerned that over the years, wrong sizes were installed then carried on.  Thanks in advance, and Happy Fathers' Day!!

   Jerry,
Should be a series 31 cranking batteries with threaded posts for cables. (Not deep cycle) The cranking amps should be 1000 to 1250. The dimensions are 13" by 6 3/16" by 9 7/16" so you can measure the trays. Take a picture before you start and ty-wrap the cables together that go to each respective post. Hope this helps, Fred

Exactly the battery I have zeroed in on, Joel!!  In stock at our local Interstate store.  Too hot to do this chore until later in the week.  It will cool off to 106 today, but I still want it cooler!!
