Title: Directv and Motorhomes
Post by: Fred Brooks on February 10, 2019, 02:58:25 PM
  Greetings fellow Beaver owners,
Just a heads up about directv's intentions about the standard definition satellite "101" and those using any mobile satellite system. They were supposed to decommission the 101 satellite in April or May primarily because it is old, standard definition and out of fuel to keep in position. Houses no longer have standard definition televisions so Directv is going to move on towards HD. To bad for all of us RV owners who use it. Winegard makes an up date for those who have a "Trav'ler automatic dishes and wish to change to Dish network, which by the way is RV friendly. The conversion "OE kit" is around 250.00 and takes about an hour and a half to install.
Blessings & Joy, Fred Brooks

Dumped Direct six years ago when they told me they would not install in a motor home and that I could not buy their equipment outright, went to Dish and haven't looked back, now using a Hopper 3 with wireless Joey's in the house and motor home when we head out this year.
