Title: Allison 3000 transmission: How do I determine the filter part numbers?
Post by: Lonne Mays on October 10, 2019, 09:27:19 PM
Do I have to crawl under the motorhome and read the serial number off of the Allison transmission to determine what filters I need to order?  I see that Amazon lists several different part numbers for filters for the Allison 3000 transmission (e.g., 29558329, 29548988, HF28943, etc.).  I want to order the filters and Transynd TES 295, and do the fluid and filter change myself (not to save money, but to make sure it is done correctly).

Lonne,
My 3000MH tranny uses the 29548988 filter.

There are two oil pan sizes on the 3000/4000 series transmissions. The filters are different depending on which pan size you have.

I think all the "motor-home transmissions" use the deep sump pan (4"), but you should confirm before ordering. Maybe Steve knows for sure if all MH have the deep sump.

Assume they all have deep sump but no data to back it up.
