Title: Flexsteel copilot footrest
Post by: Cloyd Robinson on January 10, 2020, 02:15:32 AM
Just getting started in this RV world. The footrest is inoperable and I am not finding any power at the switch. All other seat controls work perfectly. I suspect a blown fuse but can’t find any schematics that include seat wiring. Anybody have experience here?

Cloyd, it’s common to have underseat connectors get tweaked when someone swivels a seat to face the living area.  The connector may look okay but one or more wires aren’t making full contact.  Our ‘06 Monty’s footrest did that once a long time ago.  As a preliminary check, look for voltage at both sides of the CB10 circuit breaker in the electrical bay, streetside foremost.  If CB10 is okay then pursue connectors under the seat.  Rerouting wires to avoid them getting stressed when the seat moves may be necessary.

Cloyd, another thing to be aware of is the leg lift motor/screw drive was lubricated when it was manufactured.  We had a problem with the motor and found the lubricant turned into a hard waxy substance.  We removed the old substance and re-lubricated.  The motor now turns the screw much more freely and all currently works fine.
Good Luck!
