It's weird that the newest puck light thread is several years old. I'm having a hard time finding LED replacements for the puck lights. Either the hole is too large or they're way to expensive. Have any of you replaced these in the recent past? What with? Black ones would be nice, just to update the look, gold is so 2000's.
I also tried several types of LED replacement bulbs all of them were too large to fit in the existing fixtures. Open to suggestions.

That thread is five years old. The links don't work. Before I post anything I search the eff out of it. Starting a new thread is the last resort, cuz who likes to type? Got anything from this decade?

Kaper II has a website with a catalog. Look up what you want or look at the selection to see what fixture/s you might like. You can call Leslie too. She is very helpful. Kaper products are also found on Amazon.

I think your lights are like mine; Gustafson 4015. I bought 4 this spring for a new light fixture I made. The trim ring on mine are chrome, but the base is the same no matter what trim ring you have. You may have to contact the mfg to find a source, as the link below says they are out of stock.

As for LEDs, I just popped out the chrome metal reflector, then most small G4 LEDs will fit. I have disc styles and tower style LEDs in a few fixtures. They work well.

Contact Roy Boles (BAC member and Forum member). He has the LEDs. Attached are pics of them. I've used them in my last 2 RV and never had a problem. They either attach using the springs or you can use screws depending on the location.

I purchased by light from Roy and they work well. Easy to install and fit the existing hole.

I have purchased all of my puck light replacements from Roy Boles. Easy peasy install (like Steve Huber said, you can use the springs or take them off and use the original screw holes) and never an issue with them.

Yes... these are the LED ceiling lights referred to in my original post a few days ago. They are from Kaper II in Kelso, WA. When we changed our halogens to these 3 inch diameter LEDs a few years ago, the cost per unit was about $2.50, as I recall, because Kaper had over-ordered and had shelves full of too much inventory. I purchased 75 of them because I needed 57 to replace all the halogens in our coach. I gave the surplus to a Beaver-owner friend in Gresham, OR. The only issue to be aware of is these are 12v and therefore are polarity sensitive. If you connect the wires backwards, then the LED will not light up. I used blade connectors so the wires were easy to swap if I put them on backwards.
The halogens were 10w. These are 1.2w... much less energy taken from the batteries when dry camping... and give more light than did the halogens.

These have worked well in the halogen pucks without having to replace the entire assembly. It is tough to find bulbs that fit AND have an appropriate lead length. These fit the bill. I had originally replaced my halogens with the disk style LED elements,but had issues with heat causing partial failure of some of the LEDs. The below seem to work well ang use the reflective element of the puck fixture.

Kaper II just came out with a new one that isn't even on their website yet. It's only spring mounted. I ordered one just to see how it works. Will post an update when I get it and see if it works for our needs. Thanks for all the input.

Please keep in mind that in some of the existing holes the spring clips will not secure the pug light and you must screw alone with the clips. In some of the wood cabinets, the clips will not work must be screwed.

I just replace about 50 of my puck lights bulbs with these. They are 3W and a little more expensive than some others but fit without removing the reflector.

Jeff/Gene, Thanks for suggesting these. I bought 50 and have begun replacing the bulbs in my puck lights. They work great and are much easier to insert than the larger flat round units. Also the lenses fit much better.

Gene’s referenced ones say they’re dimmable, but not Jeff’s. I would think dimmability a necessary lamp feature on Multiplex systems that many of us have.

Which ones did you go with? We like a more yellowish tint to the lights in the coach. Interested if you used the ones from Amazon. I don’t know Roy Boles.

The thread you have responded to is several years old,
I to have used the led units sold by Roy Boles they fit perfectly and work great I picked up several of them from Roy at last years Zquartzite rally.
If you go to the member's only section of this forum you can look up Roy in the membership section and send him a private message ( PM )
I'm sure he still has them for sale and priced right.
