Here we go! I just installed new AMG batteries in my coach just be for it went into the shop for the generator repair. After a new generator install, which took 6 months, yes 6 months. During that time I requested they plug my coach in or turn off the power so my batteries would not die. When I went to pick up my coach they told me that my coach batteries were dead. I purchase two new cat batteries and took them to be install. After 2 weeks they told me my coach was ready. Went to pick it up all batteries were dead. Jump started it to take it home and check inverted to make sure it charging. Still, batteries are dead. Any suggestions?

Yes, don't pay that shop's bill.

I wish.
They screw up on my warranty and did not get authorization to install the generator and installed it anyway. The warranty company paid 4500 and I had to pay 7500 to get her back. All the batteries issue is their fault but they are just going to let me hang. This is a very expensive lesson. Now I just want to get here working and go on.

George,
Sorry to hear the way you were treated. Over 90% of all repair facilities have no concept of the necessity of shore power to sustain "your house".
Concerning your batteries, they may come back if you can "slow charge" them over a couple of days. Then perform a load test after that to determine their condition. Fred

If you need new ones I hope the supply is better than 6v wet cells. In the Phoenix area they are saying Dec before they expect to have stock. (Trojans. Costco won't quote a date for Costco Interstates).

Put a batterier charger on the starter batteries, in hope of starting the genterator. After a short time the genterator started. I let it run for about 2 hours. I check the inverter pannel, and made sure that the charging button was on. During the 2 hrours the pannel would read FET overload DC 10.1 V OA then the second hour it would read OFF DC 9.8. While the generator was running i push the batterier assist button, Which will give me both house and starter battiers power to start the engine. When i did this the engine would not start and the genertor stop. Tryied to start the genterator and it will not start. ANY IDEAS?

George,
unfortunately, sounds like you are back to square one with dead batteries. You will have to check each individual battery and see what the state of charge is for each battery. Not what you wanted to hear, but at this point, that is what needs to be done. Good luck.

George,
The generator is 12 volt sensitive. When the 12 volt falls below a preset threshold the generator feels threatened and shuts down to protect itself. When you combined the house and chassis batteries, the combined voltage or shorted AGM batteries dropped the voltage below that threshold. The inverter/charger warnings are telling you that the charger is working too hard to overcome the discharged state they are in. Remove the agm batteries and trickle charge 2 amp for 5 days on each battery. Fred

Thanks, Fred for the help. I will try doing this.
