Technical Support / Re: Vorad

Yes, could you post the company that did board repairs. Thanks.

Frank McElroy on the Monacoers Website can now repair, reprogram, and replace the batteries for the Vorad ECUs.  You must have the round side sensors for his programming to work.

He fixed mine as noted above.

Motorhomes and Tow Cars / selling Motor Home
« Last post by Grant Hayden on Today at 12:13:01 AM »
I will be listing my 2006 Beaver Monterey in about a month and was wondering what would be the best site to list it on? Health reasons are causing the reason for selling. I am the second owner and have owned it for 16 Years. A lot of upgrades have been made to it ,maintained excellent maintenance records, and stored inside when not in use. A more detailed listing will be provided with photos in about a week. Any recommendations would be appreciated; Consignment ? , RV Dealers ?, Best Listing Site ?
Thanks
Grant

Technical Support / Re: Broke the Rear Exterior Ladder
« Last post by Michael Wettstein on Today at 12:11:04 AM »
When we bought our Beaver last year, it was missing the bottom half of the ladder.  I couldn't find one anywhere.

I called REV/Monaco and told them I was looking for the rear ladder.  They asked me what coach I had.  I said 2008 Beaver Marquis.  They said they have no Beaver parts and hung up.

I had been looking at a 2008 Monaco Signature before we bought our motorhome and the rear caps on it and mine looked nearly identical to me. So I looked up the VIN of the Signature on the dealer website.  I called REV and told them I needed the rear ladder for the 2008 Monaco Signature and gave them that VIN.  They had the whole ladder (upper and lower) in stock and sent it to me after charging a princely sum.  It is not polished metal but is metal painted gray.

IDK if the rear cap on your Contessa is the same as a 2008 Marquis.  But if you can figure out which Monaco had the same rear cap as yours all you need is the VIN off it and you could probably get one from REV.  The REV part number for my ladder was 10111636 LADDER RR SIGNATURE 06 REV **2 PIECE. $390 shipped.

   Roger,
They do sell universal replacement ladders. If the damage is minor and dependent on your skill level, you can use 3/4" copper tubing for a splice insert into the aluminum tubing to attach replacement sections. A tubing cutting tool makes a real clean cut to join 2 sections and is almost an invisible joint. Use aluminum pop rivets to secure the sections. Topline was probably the original vendor. I would start with Beaver parts as David suggested. Fred

Thanks Fred,

Sadly the upper right hand handrail was jammed in between the frame of the RV port and basically snapped off at the roof mount and the first stand off support arm on the back of the body, so i'd need the whole new right hand handrail and I am looking at eTrailers for a generic replacement ladder for the dimensional fit and it says the bottom portion is trimable to length, so I may end going this route after I call Beaver Coach Sales to eliminate them from the list.

Perhaps a phone call to Beaver Coach Sales & Service (BCS) in Bend, Oregon could get your questions answered.  BCS may have a new or used ladder.  Other than BCS, you might call on a salvage yard near you where old motorhomes go to rest; they are everywhere in the USA and probably Canada.

Ok Thanks. That's what I was wondering if the only choices might be. I wasn't sure if there was a generic ladder that might be used as a replacement.
