After reading several post On this form and on others I’ve decided to buy the Verizon jetpack 8800L and the Netgear mimo antenna. After doing more research I decided to get the Aspen Wi-Fi ranger router. I am not a big fan of Winegard I swore I’d never buy another Winegard product after dealing with my traveler Satellite. The trouble is I can’t seem to find one for sale. The Winegard website says not available and Amazon doesn’t seem to have them for sale there either. And if they’re not available is there another alternative?Thanks Kevin

Good luck with Verizon. They were (IMHO) a real PIA when it came to managing the jet-pack, (if you are a part-timer). Initially I could activate it when traveling and turn it off (and not be charged) when at home. Then they changed their policy and required that I go through the sign up process each time I wanted to activate it (and get a new #) or pay them $40/month even if I didn't use it. Also, I found that they use different towers for the jet pack than for your cell phone so in certain locations you may not have wifi service even though the Verizon cell phone signal strength is good. This is all based on my experience thru 2019 as we haven't traveled in 2020-21.
I just purchased a Skyroam Solis Lite. Data prices appear better than Verizon's and you pay by month only when traveling. They use multiple carriers so coverage should be very good. I've used it at home and it's worked flawlessly. Will be using it on across country trip shortly so we'll see.

Keep us advised as to your Solis setup after you finally get back on the road, Steve. Nice to pay only for the traveling months and no contracts.

Update on Skyroam Solis.
Just returned from a month-long trip to the southeast. Used rest stops along I10 and I20 enroute. Spent time in well populated areas (i.e. Hilton Head and Daytona Beach) as well as rural locations in south GA with only 1-2 bars of Verizon cell phone strength and only satellite internet. The Skyroam Solis worked flawlessly in all locations. I'm sold on it.

Hello Kevin - I know your post was from awhile ago but I thought I'd add my two cents in case others are still reading.
We only use our wifi data for entertainment -not a job. I set up our system based on Verizon. On the west coast it is definitely the most reliable. I purchased a Weboost cell signal booster [attached to the old tv antenna on the roof so we can easily raise it from inside], WiFi Ranger Spruce, Verizon MiFi Jet pack and a phone from Visible Wireless. Visible has unlimited data for a flat $40/mo and works on the Verizon network but can only be hotspot connected to one device. So, I have connected the phone via hotspot to the router and now we can have all our devices running off it inside & outside the coach. We only use it as a dedicated hotspot not a phone. One additional thing about Visible, because they work off of Verizon towers it's a lower priority than actual Verizon customers; so there are times when the Visible phone is slower. But that is when we switch to our MiFi or our phone hotspot. I wish I wouldn't have purchased the MiFi. We get plenty of hotspot high speed data off our two phone that are on an unlimited plan from Verizon and our Visible phone. I hope this might help someone trying to figure out how they want to set up their data.

Thanks Christ, I’ll also give an update on our situation like I said I purchased the Verizon jetpack 8800L. It was easy to set up. I set it up on two televisions. The downside is we went through 22 GB of data in three days with me and my wife streaming on different TVs. I paid $200 for it but I was able to return it to Verizon. Like you said we then continued using the hotspot on our phones and was able to get through the rest of the month without any additional data needs. If it was an unlimited plan I probably would’ve kept it.
