Title: Water pump diagram and electrical layout needed.
Post by: Laurence Mitchell on October 10, 2019, 10:39:29 PM
Hello fellow beaver owners.

I'm in need of a picture of the boxed compartment where the water pump is located. (Basement storage)  Noted it has been jury rigged by previous owners and trying to fix some plumbing issues as I install the insta hot back into the rig.

I'm also hoping someone has a diagram of the electrical for a 2000 Marquis Tourmaline. This would be the one that shows the positions of the GFCI sockets.  Noted a 2003 in BAC files but hoping someone may have one for my coach.

How old should the GFCI be before replacement?  All mine are very stiff on the test and reset buttons.

Called Beaver Sales and they couldn't help me for the diagrams.

TIA for any help.

Mitch.

Mitch,
We don't have the diagrams for a 2000 in the Coach Assist library but I found the 2003 Marquis diagrams to be very close when I had my 2000 Tourmaline. Part 5 of the "Marquis 2003 (Part 1-5) zipped" wiring diagrams contains the  layout and location of all GFI outlets. GFI outlets will fail by normally disrupting power to downstream outlets. I wouldn't be too concerned about the buttons being a bit hard to push.

Steve,

Thank you for the info and I will print that and put it into my maint book.  Had the unit a year and it's been fun to say the least.  I have 4 years until retirement and trying to work out all the gremlins!

Take a picture of your water bay and describe your issue/question and maybe someone can help. The instahot in our Marquis was installed in the cabinet below the sink.

Hi Mitch, Glad you are enjoying the "adventure" since our original meeting a year ago. I am pretty sure yours is just like my water pump and related components behind the carpeted access cover. The 1/4" polypropylene water line that comes from the output of the water filter is "teed" on my coach. One goes to the original water solenoid on the back of the refrigerator and the other tubing goes into the floor over to the slide-out. If you pull the drawers out of the galley cabinet you will find the water line that perhaps the former owner did something with. Fred

Fred,
I don't remember the plumbing layout in my Marquis so does the 2nd 1/4" line feed the instahot? If so, wouldn't it be better to delete it and tap into the cold water line under the sink? It's not a question of if, but rather when is the long 1/4" line going to leak (IMHO).

Depends on whether you want filtered water or not to the instahot. Fred

I have a filter under the sink in addition to the ice maker one at the pump.
