I have an '07 Contessa, with the C9, the engine has shut off 3 times while idling on start up in the mornings. Twice on low idle, once on high idle. Engine starts back up, and seems to run fine. Any suggestion?

Hi Mike, have you checked for fuel moisture or leaks? I had a similar problem and found a leaking fuel filter which caused a drop in fuel pressure.

thanks Larrry, I have not noticed any wet areas on the motor or ground. There does not appear to be any water in the seperator. Would there be a warning light come on for low fuel pressure?

Some engines have idle timers that shut the engine down if idled too long. No, I don't know what too long is, but recall someone saying 15 minutes.

Thanks Gil, there are times the coach will idle fine for longer periods so if there is a timer it must be going on and off by itself. Mike

Just got home from 3 days at Cat service center trying to find out why the coach kept shutting off while idling. It seems the problem was a loose ground wire from the ECM. After several calls to Monaco and Lazydays, the tech was able to find the correct wire, and it was indeed loose. The coach has run perfect so far, so keeping our fingers crossed. Thanks for the response from everyone. This wire was in a compartment above the batteries if anyone needs to know.
Monaco and Lazydays were all the help they could be from many miles away. We were at the Cat service in Clarksville TN.

Mike,
Glad to hear your problem has been corrected. With the other C-9 problems, this one was at least an easy fix.
