Does anyone have the part# for the fan controller in an 07 Contessa. I believe it is a Danfoss unit but no part# is obvious.
Thx, Steve

Steve ,there are several posts on the IRV2 web site that address the Danfoss fan controller along with some posts suggesting to switch to a wax valve system. Source Engineering in Eugene Oregon seems to be a good starting point for info on your configuration. This is beyond my expertise, Hope this helps

On your C9 I believe the fan function is controlled by the engines ECM which would inturn run a relay which would control a hydraulic valve the danfoss control is likely controlling a variable fan speed function .
You may be able to do a work around but you would likely lose the variable speed function
my advise would be to contact Dave Atherton to discuss how that Danfoss module controls the fan.
Hope this helps some

Eric, Bryan,
Thanks for the inputs. I discussed this with another 07 Contessa owner who has replaced the Danfoss module and he informed me that what I posted isn't it even though it is in the approximate right location. Since I can't find another module like he describes, I may have a wax valve. Will crawl under coach tomorrow to verify. Interestingly, while the fan runs from start up on, the speed appears to increase as engine temp approaches t'stat opening temp (based on amount of "suction" on piece of paper against external radiator grill). I've discussed this w/Dave A and his advice was to leave it alone since engine appears to be cooling and performing normally. I know I'm probably losing some fuel mileage but the # of miles I'd have to drive to break even on the cost of repair would be upwards of 50K. :)

Steve,
if you have a thermo/wax valve there will be two smaller hydraulic lines coming off the switch valve and fan motor, going to the thermo/wax valve. On my 07 Marquis, it is located in the engine compartment screwed into radiator. The thermo/wax valve is also adjustable. There is an Allen plug screwed into the end of valve, with another Allen adjusting screw under the cap. By backing out the Allen screw, it will slow down fan, if thermo/wax valve is working properly. When adjusting, make sure engine is NOT running before removing, then reinstalling the Allen plug. These valves are also available from Whitehouse Products, https://www.whitehouseproductsltd.com/products/hydraulic-motors/hyd-gear-motors-fan-valves/dynamatic-fan-drive-motors-valves/553-1-09857-210-thermo Very reasonable, and 5 or 6 day shipping time. Hope this helps.
