Title: Iota 12V distribution panel
Post by: Jim Simonet on March 22, 2021, 02:52:44 PM
Hello,

The fuse holders for the first few fuses have melted/blown the fuse in my Iota 12V Distribution panel in the bedroom.  I have relocated the first 6 fuses over to the open fuse section and all has been well since.

I'm trying to replace that panel now, but it looks like Iota no longer makes/sells that panel.

Has anyone replaced it before, if so what did you use instead?

Jim, That is the first time I have heard of that brand failing. Iota used to be in Tucson but moved to Michigan where they were purchased by somebody. I could not find any replacements. Depending on your talent, you may need to build an overlay door and enclosure to house your replacement fuse panel that you choose. Hope this helps, Fred

This looks close and looks like it would work -

It is a little small and the existing hole is too big for it - I was hoping someone had found a suitable replacement

Jim , I think that will work. Make an overlay panel to cover the existing opening and then cutout the new opening to fit the replacement fuse panel. Good luck, Fred

Jim and Fred,

I used this exact one as a replacement and just made an overlay to reduce the size of the hole.  I liked the connections on the new panel much more than on the Iota.
