I am in the process of installing a new ME 2012 inverter charger in my 2001 Contessa. We never boondock so this is all we need.
In the manual it shows several different hookups for the ac wiring. On the original prosine 2.0 there is only 1 hot in, neutral, ground and 1 hot, neutral ground wire out.
On this new one it shows single in and single out but shows a jumper wire from load 1 hot to load two hot, and same jumper for 1-2 hot out.
I guess this gets the 30amps to both sides of the circuits. Otherwise I would and ac overload fault?

Lamonte,
I believe you want the installation as in figure 17B. You do not have dual inputs or outputs. It is a straight forward install similar to the Prosine you removed. Glad to see you are going with a Magnum inverter/charger. Fred

Thanks Fred! Got it in and working correctly.

Fred could you also help me out , I have the same Magnum Inverter . I’m going to replace it because it’s not charging my chassis batteries . How or where are the pictures or diagrams . Thanks again I really need to get this fixed . My email is crltnhinote@yahoo.com , if you want to email any information or pictures .

Scott,
Have you checked you Echo Charger for proper operation? The Charger charges the house batteries, not the chassis batteries. When the house units reach a charged condition, =>13v, the Echo begins charging the chassis batteries. When the engine is running, the alternator charges the chassis units.

Scott, I’m with Steve here. I wouldn’t replace an expensive inverter for the described condition before targeting the Echo charger; given threads here over the years, to my mind it is a much more likely culprit.

Steve and Joel, you guys are right , I’ve been looking at the wrong thing . I’ve checked the Echo a couple times and it had a green light on it . But this morning I was looking for some fuses and I noticed that the Echo had no light on it . So maybe it’s failing . Any idea where I might find one of those to replace it ? I have to charge my brand new Interstate batteries every couple days .

Scott,
Try this, https://www.amazon.com/Xantrex-82-0123-01-Echo-Charge-Systems/dp/B0016G8RT8 Hope this helps.

Scott, I just picked one up from West Marine. Tried Amazon but nobody had one, even though they said “in stock”. Amazon was cheaper, but I needed it right away.
