Title: Help fixing the exchanger looking thing beside the hot water heater. Hurricane
Post by: Steve Skeet on June 08, 2021, 02:58:19 AM
Hello,
I have looked at all of my manuals and I can't seem to find the name for the exchanger that can use the hurricane and engine heat to heat water, it looks like a radiator and it is beside the hot water heater on my 2000 Marquis.  Mine has a leak. I thought it was copper but it would not take Solder so I think it must be brass.  I called BCS and they said I can order a replacement for $240, and it is smaller and more efficient. However, I wanted to look around and see if I could find one cheaper or a way to fix this one, but I do not know what it is called.

Call  Rixen Enterprises in Oregon.  https://rixens.com/  or ITR
The new exchanger is much smaller and more efficient that the original.
