On each end of the awning roller there is a rubber strap with one end fastened to the roller and the opposite end encircles the roller and attaches to the first end utilizing a rubber “O” ring approximately one inch in diameter. I understand this rubber strap is to maintain tension on the awning material on the roller to prevent billowing when driving.
I’ve found the rubber “O” rings I use do not last very long before breaking. Has anyone else noticed this problem and come up with a solution.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
