What type of polish or compound should be used to polish the counter top to bring back a shine?

Dale, we use 3m polishing compound. But to remove scratches and resurface we use wet and dry sand paper starting with 400 grit then 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 and then 2500. Final coat use the 3m polish. If your counter tops do not have any deep scratches you can start with 600 grit sand paper. Use a sanding block and practice on an inconspicuous area first.

Many use one of Hope’s products.  But this may be of some help:

Back when we had huge rallies with tech reps, Corian held a seminar.  Her favorite cleaner/polish was SoftScrub.  We used it routinely for a dozen years and the countertops looked new when we sold it.
