Hi all,
We had to move the rig offsite for a few days while they put down a seal coat on the parking lot. 50 Amp cord would not reach so we used our dog bones to transfer down to 20 Amp. We are running just a small heater and charger. Will keep everything else gas and 12 volt. Is the heater to big of a load? Set the Xantrex remote to 20 Amp incoming power. Just don't want to damage electrical wiring in coach. Thank you.

If the heater is the typical 1500 watts that’s 12.5 amps out of your 20. I’ve done it (and 15a) many times, albeit sans heater at 15. So be careful what else is on… keep the fridge on gas and watch the lighting, TV, etc. Start with fully charged batteries so the inverter’s charger isn’t maxing out while the heater is on. If you have diesel hydronics use that for heat when possible. Also note that a long 14 gauge cord will drop some voltage, so keep that short (25’) or use a yellow 12 gauge.

Jason, If your house batteries are charged and are in "float", turn down your Xantrex power share to 10 amps. That gives you 20 left to run your coach, which is marginal at best. Fred

Thank you both, decided to just use generator instead
