Title: Kwikee 42 series step motor
Post by: Kevin Higgins on September 01, 2021, 05:41:49 PM
Hello, I need help locating a step motor for a 42 series kwikee step. I bought one two years ago on etrailer and it’s already burned up. It came with a one-year warranty. I’m looking for another source I’ve heard you can buy a power window motor from AutoZone. Does anybody know the model number. I also heard they give a lifetime warranty. Thanks kevin

The reason I was looking for something from an auto parts store is because we’re on the road and we’re not at one place long enough to get something from Amazon or eBay etrailer. I read another Rv forum and they had mentioned it was the same as a rear window Ford Taurus motor. But that’s the only info they gave. No big deal I’ll just have to wait till I get home just have to tie it up every time I move.

Luckily I was able to see it before The fourm
police erased it. I will find out tomorrow whether the information I got from that other website will work thanks for whoever replied to my post.

Kevin, Eric,
Had you looked in the Common Problems section (Technical tab on Club website) you would have found the info you were looking for in an article titled "Entry Step Problems."
