Title: Tire scuff
Post by: Fred Cook on November 11, 2021, 02:04:09 PM
Well, I ran up on a curb a few days ago and now I have a scuff mark on the side of my right front steer tire. It is about 10 inches long and does not appear to be cut. Appears mainly to be a long narrow smudge. I didn't notice it until after we arrived at our destination where upon I observed it…. and i had already drove 120 miles on it.  Nothing was out of the ordinary on the TPMS and it drove fine. The tire is Sumitomo and 3 years old. I will be driving 950 miles next week to get back home.  Any comments?

    Fred,
Sounds cosmetic, Let the tire pressure monitor system be the watch dog. Fred

I'll bet anyone with a 40+ foot Coach has at least one scuff mark on a rear tire.  ::)
