Title: closet door removal
Post by: Tom Crowley on August 16, 2011, 06:42:09 PM
We have a 2006 Monterey and need to remove the closet door to make a simple repair.  The doors are hung by 2 slides.  I haven't  found a method to remove the doors.

Tnx,

Before removing the doors, look down at the bottom and you will find a white nylon guide screwed to the floor.  It has a movable slide part that will slide back once unscrewed.  This will let the bottom of the door swing freely.  At the top where the rollers are located there are nylon locking mechanisms.  They rotate and lock just above the bolt.  Pull them back to release the door from the rollers.  It is best to try to release the interior (toward the rear of the coach) door first.  Then unlock the rollers on the remaining door.  You can then lift the door and pull the bottom towards you and let it down to completely take it out.  Hope this helps.
