The bedroom heater in my 2002 Patriot is not working at all. The Living/Kitchen works fine. No fault indications on the Hydro Hot control board and I replaced all 3 pumps last year. Any body have any suggestions?
Thank you

Check to see if the fluid lines are hot at both the pumps in the AQH and at the heat exchanger in the bedroom. If both are, you may have a bad fan or switch. If only hot at pump, possible bad check valve. Tapping it may free it. If not hot at pump, possible bad pump.

Do the fans run in the bedroom ?
If not you may be experiencing a relay failure sometimes the contacts get dirty resulting either in no pump op or no fan operation for that particular heat zone.

If the "heater [is] not blowing", then the fan ain't turning or it's blocked.
The first I'd check is the fan. Years ago, we had one fan not blowing. A large nylon tie wrap was in it holding it firmly from turning. Somewhere along the line, a technician had cut a tie and left it under the dash. It eventually moved to the fan opening, slid into the fan blades, and stopped the fan from turning.
My experience indicates to me the fans are actuated by their respective zone thermostats. We can turn on the fans with no heat in the Aquahot lines. Thus, it appears the fans are not actuated by the Aquahot. So, the problem has to be the fan motor itself, or in the wiring between the respective thermostat and fan that is not blowing, or in the respective thermostat. If you can get to the leads connected to the fan, then perhaps you can use a multi-tester to check for power there and/or connect from a battery or power-pack to see if the fan will spin. While in there, check the leads' connection to the fan motor.
The next thing to check is at the respective thermostat. And good luck with that...!

Jack,
Please define not working. If the fan is not running then Daves reply is on the right track. If the heater coolant hose going to the heat exchanger in the bedroom is cold, then the issue is at the Hydro-hot. If that is the case, at one of the zone pumps the coolant will be hot below the brass check valve and cool above the check valve. As Steve suggested, tap on the valve while the pump is running and it should loosen the flapper inside the valve to open. Hope this helps, Fred

Fred,
The fan is not blowing at all. I will pursue all these suggestions.
Thanks to all for your responses.

As I recall when ours was new one exchanger quit and I discovered it was simply a broken wire to its fan from being pinched during installation. The fluid was warm and flowing okay, which otherwise would’ve been a much more involved diagnosis and repair.

I am with the others on the fan. Mine ended up being a crayon wedged in the blades. It had been there long enough to burn up the fan, but was a simple repair.
