We have the 4 camera system and the Kenwood monitor.
Problems started on the last couple trips. When the left turn lever is on the left camera should show but the monitor goes black. The same when I switch to reverse. I lose the rear camera.
Any other time they both work fine and all the rest work as they should.
The monitor recently went to diagonal lines until it was shut down and restarted. That may be a separate issue.
What controller is used to switch between cameras and where might it be found?

Keith, I think its the aladdin that keeps track of the cameras; Check your wiring diagram, its pretty thorough!
-
You might just be able to wiggle (twist) the RCA connectors on the back of the Aladdin to get your cameras working again.

Kieth, We have a 2006 Monteray, when it rains or just washed, our turn signles. camera does the same thing.
There must be a short or lose fitting. I haven't fount it yet.

First chance I will look for those RCA cables.
Good tip on the rain as it was raining big time last time it went out but normal function next day.

Our aladdin controller, with all the rca cables is in a cabinet above the driver, behind a removable panel. Might have to remove the Kenwood display also to check the rca cable on the rear of the display also.

Keith,
The Aladdin VCM (controller) does control the camera switching. It uses left/right turn signal triggers and the engine data buss input (to sense when the transmission is in reverse) to determine which camera input to display. The turn signal triggers override the transmission trigger.
Ours occasionally gets out of sync, so far, resetting the Aladdin system will re-sync it.
It appears that Monaco changed the location of the Aladdin VCM for the 2006 and newer Marques and Patriots. On our 06 Thunder, there is a chase that runs the full length above the front cabinets. You can remove the large trim piece that is above the cabinets to expose this chase. The Aladdin VCM, cabling and several other components are on a shelf behind the trim. The trim piece is held on by cabinet door latches and industrial strength Velcro, you have to pull pretty hard to remove it, automotive door panel removal tools would be helpful. It is a tight fit on the ends, I would use blue tape to protect the cabinets at each end.

Nice update Scott, thanks!
Problem with resetting the Aladdin is it requires recalibration the holding tanks too. Grrrrr!
-
Before resetting the aladdin, you wrote down the raw calibration factors for the tanks, right?
-
I wrote the numbers down and promptly put it a safe place. Hahaha
-
That’s odd, I’ve never lost the tank calibration settings. I don’t even have to set the system clock. The system settings are supposed to be stored in non-volatile memory.
Are we are talking about a different reset method? I use the reset switch inside the cabinet directly above the passenger seat.
