Any one know if Rick got this resolved. Having similar issue… feel like starter or starter solenoid,…but looking for others thoughts advice. Inside button or button on the Gen itself and just a single click ‘ buzz for a second and does not turn engine over. Batts are all charged good, we are full time but genny doesn’t run often enough.

The “click” is it’s solenoid closing okay, but apparently full amps aren’t flowing through due to some resistance. Something like this leads me first to check the heavy ground connection at the generator and battery post(s), then check that full 12+ voltage is on both sides of the generator’s starter solenoid’s large posts when one of the switches is pressed ON. If not, then the solenoid’s contacts may be corroded from non-use.
That said, I’ve not had issues of this sort with ours, so others here may correct my presumptions, as I’m not familiar with exactly how the Genny starter is configured.

I opted to pull the starter off and bench test it. It’s frozen. No spin at all by hand or with a voltage provided directly to the post. Opting to start with replacing the starter.
On its way from Amazon to local locker as I type this.
Looks like the solenoids are available at Napa, so while out getting the starter tomorrow will stop and grab a solenoid…..
Will update post once installed tomorrow.
