Title: blueprint of plumbing system
Post by: Tom Pickett on December 16, 2022, 06:47:14 PM
hello everyone
looking to find a blueprint for my 2008 patriot. I have a water leak on the return side from the vanity sink, next to the shower.
Any help would be appreciated
Thankyou in advance and have a Merry Christmas

Return line; are you talking the waste drain? If so, it drains into the grey tank, and on our '05 Thunder the waste tanks are accessed via a compartment door on the curb side just ahead of the drive axle. No handle latch on door, there are two over-center pull latches under the bottom of the door.

hi bill
thanks for your reply I will look at mine but do not think there is an access door. My unit has four slides and was told earlier this year by a local repair shop that the problem needed to be accessed through the shower. I know there has to be another way.
This problem was caused by vehicle not properly winterized before i bought it.
 I will keep you updated,
Thankyou
tom

Is the problem a waste drain or fixture supply hose problem? As for shower access, on our coach there is a large floor to ceiling mirror in the bedroom; the shower  backs up to this wall. Remove the mirror and you have access to the shower.

my shower backs up to the galley, the slide is right there, only way to gain access is possibly under kitchen counter through a cabinet door. i am trying to avoid taking half the cabinet work apart.

Tom, if the leak is in the pex tubing that goes to the vanity (hot or cold side?) the tubing should run up through the floor from the basement to the fixture, it should be exposed under the sink. Once you find the tubing in the basement, you should be able to trace it back to your wet bay area. You can shut off the leak by using the manibloc valve for that fixture. With the leaking tubing isolated by the manibloc valve, you should be able to use the rest of your coach. Good luck!

Tom,
You stated in a previous post the leak was in the vanity return (drain?) line. There should be a flex tube (3/4-1" ID) running from the vanity drain in the slide to the shower drain line. Assuming the leak is at or beyond the flex to shower drain union, you should be able to access the shower drain plumbing through a panel under the kitchen sink, if Monaco put one there. Flex tubing is also prone to leaks.

I had a leak like you describe in my 08 PT Princeton, between the shower and the vanity there is a raised section that the drain runs thru. you need to remove and remove the floor of the vanity my break was between the flex drain pipe and the rigid drain.  A simple fix with a new plastic coupling between the two.  The couplings just get hard and break.  The PVC pipe is great but will not handle the constant flexing that it gets in the rig.

Hi  Rocky
thanks for your replay I see an area beside the shower base against the wall. That must be what you are talking about. Will remove and investigate when it gets warmer

Hi everyone]
I want to thank Rocky Healey, we finally have warm weather you were right on point. The drain pipe was broken at the cleanout between the shower and the vanity.
  Thankyou again
