Title: Hydraulic System Maintenance - Filter info needed
Post by: Paul Haaf on April 21, 2023, 03:05:38 PM
I am attempting to change the hydraulic system filter and fluids in my 2006 Monterey (CAT 4ooHP)
I purchased a filter based on the info in my owners manual - MP Filtri CSG100P10A, which cross referenced to a Baldwin BT287-10.
The new Baldwin is way bigger (5")  than the one on my MH (3"?), leading me to believe either the original one was not installed as shown in the manual or the housing was changed out at some point. The manual shows a filter bypass button that i don't have on my housing either.

The current filter has no markings and I have not yet removed it. My gauge is shot and I would like to replace that as well. See Picture.

Can anyone give me any more details on replacement filter? I only know it is listed as 10 micron.

Hello,
I just replaced mine. It is an 07 Contessa, but the filter location snd filter size look the same as ours.
The filter manufacturer and part number I used was Stauf SF6505.
Hope this helps.

Like John’s the filter on ours is a Stauff EF-6505.  Our manual also, on page 311, shows an “MP Filtri CSG100P10A”.  But the Stauff I believe is the original.
