Title: Surge Protector & Inverter
Post by: Jerry Ward on July 20, 2023, 08:02:00 PM
I have a 2008 Beaver Contessa with a hard wired Progressive industries Surge Protector.  It started making a very loud noise a couple day's ago and I ordered a new one through a local RV shop over the phone.  The Magnum Inverter on the wall is displaying a red light (fault).  I have tried resetting the inverter by holding the button on the panel but it does not clear the red light.  It also display's a code 0A.

Any thoughts?

TIA

Jerry,
Check your inverter remote manual for the code description. My guess is that AO may mean AC Overload but most remotes spell out the words.

I believe Steve is right about the code .
I have had a code that wouldn't clear from the panel and finally got rid of it by unplugging the shore power and disconnecting the batteries for five minutes .
It worked but you have to reset the panel setting clock etc when done.

I am still looking for a manual.  I have it unplugged from Shore Power and still cannot clear the error.  On a 2008 Beaver Contessa, where is the inverter located?

You have to disconnect the battery bank to get the inverter to do a hard reset

What model inverter do you have.
