The local contractor for RV Glass Solutions stated that RV Windshield gaskets should be replaced after 20 yrs.
Does the BAC community concur with this statement?
Thank you.

Jack,
I would definitely replace it. After 20 years it has hardened and probably will crack significantly when they remove the existing windshield. It also won't seal properly on the new windshield.

We had a ‘98 Monticello and the windshield gasket was bad allowing the driver side glass to slip down. This was in part due to poor installation at the factory and the flange in the front cap had been cut wrong.
RV Glass Solutions found a local guy and sent the new glass and gasket here. When they were ready to start RV Glass was on the phone with the installer the whole time and made sure it was installed right.
Great job.
