my drop-down TV motor hum and then turn off than an hour letter it hums again. The TV will not come down after I press the switch to do so. But the motor hums. Does anyone know how to manually unlatch the unit to allow it to come down? Then reattach it to work as it should. This will allow me room to work on the problem. I have the cover off and can see the lift and electrical power along with the latch. The motor stay hot all the time. Any direct on how to repair this would greatly be apricated.

There have been many posts here on the forum about the TV lifts
Try doing a search with the key words TV LIFT make sure you are in the home menu so it searches all the forum posts.
I'm sure you will get the answers your looking for in those posts.
