Title: Hurricane fuel line replacement
Post by: Rick Daniels on October 26, 2024, 07:33:58 PM
I have discovered a small leak in the hurricane fuel line. Before I try to replace it I would like to know where the fuel line attaches to the fuel tank. Can it be replaced without lowering the fuel tank?

If yours is like mine the line goes into the top of the tank.  I was able to loosen the tank and then tilt it down in the front enough to get to the fittings.  A motorcycle jack worked well for this.  Only had to drop/tilt the tank about 4 or 5 inches to access everything.  Hoes this helps some.

I had the same issue with mine several years ago. I cut the line back several feet, used a brass connector and installed a new fuel line. I suspect the tubing they used is not UV protected and it was the section which got most light exposure was rotted.
