Title: Re: 1997 32 foot Monterey shocks
Post by: Dave_Nolan on August 06, 2025, 06:15:49 AM
Hi,
I have a 1997 Beaver Monterey 32 foot. It has a total of 4 airbags. Two on each axle. I'm looking for shocks front and rear.  Does anyone have recommendations for a good set, the part numbers and where they can be found.  I live in New York. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

Most people recommend Koni's.  You can look them up online at shock warehouse, or contact super steer for the part fitment.

Try contacting Koni and see if they don’t have an applications reference they can use to tell you which of their shocks would be correct for your coach.

A very few who’ve changed brands might disagree, but most comments on forums trend favorably to Koni’s, including mine.  SuperSteer (Henderson’s Lineup in Oregon) may also supply a cross reference to Koni’s for your rig, even though given your location you likely wouldn’t be buying from them.  They (or Koni) may even provide a product resource in your area.

May want to Google "Shock Warehouse". They show Konis for your coach but also offer Bilsteens. I've tried both and IMHO the ride "improvement with Konis wasn't worth the $ difference, but that was a number of years ago and the $ delta may have changed.
Good Luck, Steve
