So this saga continues with the Beaver. Noticed some pulled rivet heads on the side of the curbside slide out. Further investigation I see impact marks like the slide out isn't adjusted correctly and has been banging against the stops, over the years( I'm guessing) as I have owned it for 4 months and we live in permanently, so it hasn't been extended or retracted but maybe a couple times since we took ownership. ANYWAY, I noticed the floor at the extended position near the weather seals and body was sagging, maybe only about the thickness of the first layer of ply. When I looked further behind the seals inside to where the roller sits the floor is definitely sagging and thankfully it hasn't broken through or gotten jammed.
So what would be the best way to tackle this problem. It's late now and dark outside, so I don't think it'll be worth trying to take pictures until daylight, but figured I start the conversation and see where this might be heading.
Called a couple of RV repair shops near me, with no luck yet in saying this would be repairable as they want me to bring the unit to them. Well obviously I don't want to chance it failing until I know I'll leave it at a facility. The other problem I had was the age of the unit.."oh it's an '07, we don't work on units that old"..seems to be a common answer.
Anyway, what's the general consensus as to this?? Is this going to be a tear out the slide out for major repair or is there a way to do this in situ?
Again I'll try and post daylight pics tomorrow.
Thanks

Thanks for the link. Seeing this I suspect I have something similar on my driver side slide out. I don't know if was because of damage, I assumed it was strengthening due to the driver slide out is a few feet longer than the one I have issues with.
I'll go check this company out and see if I can get this problem dealt with. Just checked it out and it's a home repair, which is awesome.

One source of problem can be the tape sealant used on the roof of the slide out. It can peel up and leak.

Be aware that Chris recently sold Talinrv and the reviews have gone down hill. The two techs that Chris had at Talin that did good work have left to start there own company. Check out the Monacoers.org forum for information. Chris was a long time member of that forum before he retired.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm currently waiting for them to call. Sent them an email last night and got an auto reply they'd reach out, so will see what happens.

On you tube the AZrvexpert has a video of an 08 Beaver PT Winchester4 with a very similar issue and how he fixed it.
