Title: Check engine light reset

hi
trying to reset my check engine light. There are no codes and no pending codes. removed battery cables and powered down system
what am i missing

Tom,
The ECU should shut it off if it is detecting normal operating conditions but it sometimes takes awhile. Cruise control can sometimes affect it so be sure CC is off and run engine or drive it for a few miles and see if that does it.
