The compass on the aladdin screen in our 06 monterey shows a east heading all of the time.  Any ideas would be appreciated

Roger-

Have you tried recallibrating it as per the manual?  If you don't have them, I can check our manual for the exact procedures, and troubleshooting;  it's been several years since I last calibrated ours.

It's also possible the sensor module may be haywire, because I wouldn't expect the unit to lock on one direction all the time.

Maybe it's trying to tell you something...  Find the compass sensor and see if something was placed near it that is magnetic or is large and ferrous metal.

Any idea where the sensor might be?

Ours is located in the holding tank bay in front of the rear axle on the passenger side. You can open the door using the two latches which are down low under the door. You find the module mounted on a wood frame that's 12" in the high center of the opening. It has to be 24" from the frame. Do not store anything metal near it.
