Title: Tire balancing, Glass Beads?
Post by: JimCasazze on May 07, 2012, 10:18:54 PM
We are getting new rubber on all six wheels, but can't find a tire/truck dealer hear locally that will spin balance the tires on the axle or even spin balance on a machine.  Each of the dealers I have spoken to says they use a glass bead (not Equal or powder style) silicone based product that does not make a mess, is reusable and "the way to go".

Any comments?  I have no idea if this is correct information.

I just had all 8 replaced and had them spin balanced.

I have Dynabeads and I love them. Installed them 4 years ago and my wheel balance has been perfect ever since. They are easiest to install when changing tires, but can also be added later. http://www.innovativebalancing.com

And I use Cenramatic balancers on all 4 corners for perfect balance for the past 7 years.
