Hello Everyone:
I have a 2000 Patriot Ticonderoga which we just recently purchased, the RIGHT REAR BRAKE LIGHT stays on.
I presume it is a sticky brake light switch, however only the RIGHT REAR stays on.
Any Idea where the brake light switch is? OR??
Also my Hyd Fluid is low for the jacks, I thought it was underneath the coach behind the front step but I don't see it there, any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Charles, welcome... The right rear brake lignt on sounds strange. Check the left one to see if the light bulb is burned out. If it is OK, it may be a wiring short in the harness. I had a problem like that (both brake lights would come on) and it was the harness for the trailer connector that was causing the problem. There is a hot (with key on) wire in the trailer light bundle, that was shorted on the brake light wire.
I think the brake light switch is on the brake master cylinder between the firewall and the front cap. The fluid container for the jacks in on the rear passenger side behind the engine service bay door. Not the one that you can access from the outside, but behind that panel in the engine compartment. You can use a smaill filler fluid pump or turkey baster to fill the tank. I would recommend you drain and refill with fresh Dextron ATF.

Thanks,,,
The Brake Light problem is fixed.. it was an ID-10-T error. (IDIOT) It was sun light shining in and it looked like the light was on!
I'm learning... :)
Thanks again,
Charley

You don't have to be a newbie to be fooled by that one, Charley. And the fix is a lot simpler than Karl's was ;D
