My name is Norm Green and I'm a returning member to BAC after over 5 years without a coach, owed two Beavers previously. We recently purchased an '06 Patriot Thunder and I am trying to get my feet wet again with all the issues and problems associated with owning a coach. One issue I have found is that when driving with the cruise control set, if I turn on the headlights, either by the normal pull switch or the button on the smart wheel that flashes the headlights, the cruise control turns off and I have to reset it completly again. Any ideas on what might be causing this and if there is an easy fix?
Thanks in advance and it is great to back.

Norm,
It sounds like you have a malfunction in the Smart Wheel control module, and if so the only repair is to replace the Smart Wheel control module.

Gerald is most likely correct. I had my cruise fail on me as well. Turned out to be a faulty smart wheel control module. As a bonus, the new module eliminated the gremlins that would cause my lights to stay on regardless of the number of times I turned them on or off.
I contacted BCS and they had one for my coach in stock.

Thanks for all the help. At least now I know where to start my investigation.
