Title: Adding Speaker in Outside Bay
Post by: Steve Otterstedt on August 25, 2009, 06:38:50 PM
I have an 03 Monterey and would like to add a controlable (vol. on/off) speaker from the DVD/Radio player in a passenger side bay.  There is 120V power in the bay behind the slide along with a coax. jack.  Anyone have any experience with this or suggestions.  Thanks, Steve Otterstedt

When we got our '97 it had two wired speakers in the bay that were incorrectly wired and besides low volume caused a higher volume in the bedroom. Do not splice to another set of speaker leads. Wire independantly or do as we did and just carry a portable radio with a CD player. It is much more portable and probably cheaper.
